Features overview

A brief description

DECTRIS CLOUD is designed to shorted the path from experiment to insight, having collaborations at its core. All product features are accessed via the WebApplication where you will find everything you need to navigate.

Data

Where all raw and processed data is stored and organized by experiment.

The data space is easily managed, with automatic upload of experimental data from the lab with ensured data integrity and security. The experimental data is organized by experiment and folders can be easily found using the search functionality. Additionally, the data area includes interactive tools for visualizing data, sharing with collaborators and allowing for quick and comprehensive insights. The Data area is divided in main sections:

My Experiments

Where you can find all your experiments powered by DECTRIS CLOUD and experimental details such as the synchrotron, laboratory and start date at a glance. One click on the corresponding experiment and details pop up along with the names of all collaborators involved and the route to the root folder.

DECTRIS Data

Your portal to DECTRIS CLOUD in which you can access all the data from experiments in which you collaborate or act as Principal Investigator. Navigate through data folders and easily visualize data files and processing and analysis results.

Personal Data

This is your personal space within DECTRIS CLOUD, in which you can upload your own files and safely keep them in the cloud.

Logbook

At DECTRIS CLOUD, we recognize the importance of note-taking during experiments and the worth of insights contributed by all collaborators. That's why we provide a logbook for every experiment, offering a designated text entry space for all involved contributors.

Cockpit

The experiment control center

The cockpit area of DECTRIS CLOUD is where lab managers can take control of the experiments in real-time. The intuitive Cockpit dashboard displays the information of running experiments for all users involved: Lab staff, PI and collaborators. The synchronized display of the status of the detector, HUB, Cloud and Processing keeps all parties updated on the status of each experiment. This key component of successful laboratory experimentation and management facilitates smooth, uninterrupted collaboration, resulting in completed experiments in a more timely and organized manner.

Analysis

Where insight is made

The analysis section provides users with a comprehensive view of their processing environments and sessions. This feature allows users to create a customized virtual machine tailored to their specific needs, known as a session. For each session, users can assign a name and configure disk size and CPU performance. With the ability to analyze up to five experiments per account on the VM, accessing data is made effortless. Additionally, users can easily stop and restart a session at their convenience while maintaining their preferred settings.
