Data

All your data in one place

The Data space at app.dectris.cloud is a central area to all data associated to one's account. From experimental data to personal data, all is organized in a comprehensive structure with a user-friendly file browser.

DETRIS data

The DECTRIS Data area provides centralized access to datasets generated from experiments conducted in laboratories connected to the DECTRIS CLOUD platform. This section is designed to streamline the organization, retrieval, and analysis of experimental data, ensuring users can efficiently manage and leverage results.

At DECTRIS CLOUD, data is systematically organized by experiments, with each experiment serving as a container for related datasets. This structured approach ensures that raw, processed, and auxiliary data is easily accessible and ready for analysis.

You can quickly browse and access datasets from DECTRIS-connected laboratories using the Quick Navigation list on the right (see figure below). The integration between experiments and the DECTRIS Data area allows for seamless transitions between exploring data and initiating analysis workflows.

Use Cases

  • Accessing datasets generated in DECTRIS-connected laboratories.
  • Organizing and exploring raw, processed, and auxiliary data files linked to specific experiments.
  • Preparing data for further analysis using sessions or compute jobs.

Personal Data

The Personal Data area is your dedicated space for storing and managing files that fall outside the structured framework of experiments. While DECTRIS CLOUD provides a consistent and robust structure for organizing experiment data within experiments, the Personal Data drive offers you the flexibility to store and organize additional files in a way that best suits your individual workflow.

DECTRIS CLOUD’s Experiment structure ensures all experimental data is systematically organized. For everything else—be it shared resources, or files not connected to experiments—the Personal Data area provides a versatile alternative. Your Personal Data is always accessible within DECTRIS CLOUD, and is automatically mounted to your sessions. That way you can always use your private files in the data analysis space.

The Personal Data area is your private storage space, ensuring that files are securely stored and only accessible to you.

Use Cases

  • Storing reference datasets or literature for your projects.
  • Keeping auxiliary files or temporary resources outside of experiment folders.
  • Organizing files that are not directly tied to a single experiment but still relevant to your research.
  • Preparing and storing files for use in sessions or compute jobs.

FAQ

How can I add files to my Personal Data drive?

Access your Personal Data area and click the "Upload" icon (highlighted in the figure below).

How much data can be added to my Personal Data drive?

The Personal Data drive size is 10 Gb for users with a free account and larger spaces can be purchased along with the DECTRIS CLOUD licenses.
