Release Notes : v1.7.0

This release brings three major updates to DECTRIS D.LAB: a complete License Rework, a redesigned Homepage, and the ability to Tag Collaborators in comments. You can now @mention team members in comments to send instant notifications, navigate faster with a new homepage layout featuring quick actions and resource overviews, and benefit from a simplified licensing structure.

Improvements & Bug Fixes

Licensing Rework

  • Introduced the Free User License to replace Explorer, Discovery, and Impact tiers. Resources from legacy tiers have been transferred to the Free License so users with higher user tiers retain all existing capabilities.
  • Enforced default usage limits for Free User Licenses: maximum 2 projects, 2 collaborators per project, 2 custom environments, and 2 custom job templates.
  • Enforced maximum laboratory member limits based on the active lab license.
  • Added support for users to self-remove from a lab, which automatically removes them from all projects sponsored by that lab license.
  • Disabled ownership transfer functionality across individual user licenses.
  • Added warnings and automatic support notifications when hot storage capacity limits are reached.
  • Blocked moving data to cold storage when no storage capacity is available.

Homepage Overhaul

  • Redesigned the Homepage to include a Welcome Banner and Quick Actions for key platform workflows.
  • Added a Latest Analysis section on the homepage to provide direct access to recent work and sessions.
  • Added dedicated License Overview widgets to the homepage.
  • Removed the left sidebar on the Virtual Desktop creation page for a cleaner setup interface.

Collaboration & Execution Workflows

  • Project members can now be tagged using @mentions in comments with direct e-mail notifications sent to mentioned users.
  • Added a prompt asking users whether to share the underlying Environment when sharing a Job Template.
  • Added support for drop-down type input variables in Job execution configurations.
  • Performed comprehensive API standardization and cleanup across platform endpoints.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an error that prevented downloading supporting files from previous versions of a Job Template.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking outside the Run Job workflow rendered the UI unresponsive.
